Cristiano rushed off the pitch while his teammates greeted the fans

Cristiano Ronaldo looked visibly sad at the end of Portugal's 1-1 draw with DR Congo. According to Portuguese outlet A Bola, the captain was one of the first to leave the pitch, taking no part in the lap of appreciation his teammates made around the stadium.

The 41-year-old walked towards the tunnel with his head down, briefly greeted a member of the DR Congo coaching staff and applauded the fans before heading off alone — visibly frustrated after another goalless performance. The rest of Roberto Martínez's squad stayed on the pitch longer, acknowledging all four stands before making their way to the dressing room.
