Cape Verde goalkeeper Vozinha didn't just impress with his performance in the goalless draw against European champions Spain — he also set a record. At 40 years of age, he became the oldest goalkeeper ever to keep a clean sheet on his World Cup debut.

Vozinha made a total of seven saves in the match, six of which came from inside the penalty box — making him the first goalkeeper since 2018 to keep a clean sheet while making at least six saves from inside the area. In fact, across the last three World Cup editions, only three other goalkeepers have matched or exceeded seven saves in a single match: Mexico's Guillermo Ochoa with 9 against Germany in 2018, Cameroon's Devis Epassy with 7 against Brazil in 2022, and Australia's Patrick Beach against Turkey just a few days ago.

Naturally, Vozinha was named man of the match. His story quickly went viral on social media, with many noting the remarkable fact that he didn't begin his professional career until the age of 25, at a club in Angola.
