De la Fuente: "Never Before Has a World Cup Had So Many Contenders" — Morocco Among Them
Spain's boss is confident La Roja can win it all — but he's not shy about naming the teams that could stop them.
Spain's manager is backing his side to go all the way in 2026 — but he's not sleeping on the competition.
Speaking to AS, Luis De la Fuente was unequivocal about Spain's ambitions: "We can be world champions. We can, and we'll fight to make it happen." But in the same breath, he was careful to flag the depth of the field, naming Brazil, Argentina, Germany, France, Portugal, and Morocco as serious threats.
"None of the top teams will be left out," he said. "Never before has a World Cup brought together so many contenders."
A wide-open tournament, a hungry Spain side — and Morocco firmly in the conversation.
