Ancelotti plans changes to Brazil lineup after poor World Cup start

Carlo Ancelotti confirmed he will make changes to Brazil's lineup for their second group game against Haiti, after a disappointing 1-1 draw with Morocco in their World Cup opener

Brazil coach Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed he will make changes to his starting lineup for Friday's Group match against Haiti, following the five-time world champions' underwhelming 1-1 draw with Morocco in their opener. Danilo and Matheus Cunha are expected to come in for Ibáñez and Igor Thiago respectively. Neymar will not travel with the squad, as he continues to recover from injury and is training only individually.

"We can improve the team and we will improve it," Ancelotti said. "The team was not happy, because the first match was not good, especially the first half. But tomorrow we will play a different match, with much higher quality."

"You don't win a World Cup in the first match. We need to find a solution. We worked over the last few days to find it and I think we have. I'm still confident the team will be competitive," he added.

Asked whether fans should worry about Brazil lacking a clear tactical identity under him, Ancelotti was unapologetic: "I don't want a single identity. I want my team to have multiple identities."
